Tour Guide:   Jen is from Warminster, PA, in the Philadelphia suburbs.  She has been learning about the Philadelphia sights since she was a child with school trips to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell and is excited to pass on the interesting history of the city to tourists from around the world.  In addition to her background as a professor of media studies and communication with experience teaching at Temple University, Pine Manor College, Arcadia University, Drexel University and Ursinus College, she also holds a Certificate in International Tour Management from the International Guide Academy, and she was awarded the IATAN Ronald A. Santana Memorial Professional Development Scholarship by Tourism Cares in recognition of her exemplary representation of the travel and tourism industries.  She is a Certified Philadelphia Tour Guide and a member of The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides.

Tour Option #1:  Old City Philadelphia (2 hour walking tour - approximately 2.5 miles covered)

Cost:  $20 per person;  children 12 and under are free;  all tours must be booked in advance

Departs from:  Washington Square Park entrance at 6th and Walnut (guide will be standing at the park entrance)
Ends at:  Independence Visitor Center (6th and Market)

Time:  This tour is currently offered by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays.

FAQ

How much is the tour?
A 2-hour walking tour of Old City Philadelphia is $20 USD per person.  Children age 12 and under are free.
Payment is expected prior to the start of the tour and can be done via Paypal.  Cash is also accepted in person prior to the tour, but all tours must be scheduled in advance.

How many miles will we walk?
The 2-hour tour covers approximately 2.5 miles at a leisurely pace.

Are the tours still given if it is raining?
Yes, tours run rain or shine.  Unless there is truly severe weather that would put us in danger (hurricanes, lightning storms, icy conditions or blizzards), a tour will run.  Bring an umbrella!

What if I need to cancel?
Please notify me at least 4 hours in advance of the tour time if you need to cancel.   Please email me at [email protected] or call/text me at 267-571-9755 to cancel.  Refunds will be provided to those who cancel 4 hours or more in advance.
